About DC Malaysian Food

This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Pawling is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pawling follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Absolutely delicious. What a pleasant treat after section hiking the AT. Had the char siu wonton noodles and they were so good. Iβll definitely be back. This was just as good as something you would get in KL.

Incredible food served by a very friendly and hardworking owner who clearly takes pride in what he serves. Amazing value and dishes are quite large. My only wish is I discovered this sooner.

Oh my goodness. My partner and I were headed back to Brooklyn from a weekender upstate and happened to drive by this food truck and decided to stop for lunch. we got the honey roasted pork, char siu noodles and the curry chicken and everything was SO DELICIOUS!!! They arenβt too many great Asian food options upstate so finding this gem was the perfect ending to our trip. Flavors were incredible. Canβt recommend enough, amazing all around, so excited to be back next time weβre around!

Here is a two-star review for DC Malaysian Food: Painfully Slow, Incredibly Pushy, and Utterly Lacking Flavor I'm truly baffled by the five-star reviews for this place. Either the standards are incredibly low, or people are easily swayed by the "food truck" trend. Or maybe As someone who came from out of the country they were wowed?!! No beef items, because itβs not beef season!!! What a sad excuse!! I'm sad to say this was a truly disappointing experience and a far cry from the Malaysian food I know and love. The service was excruciatingly slow. It felt like an eternity waiting for our food, despite the place not being busy. What made the wait even more unbearable was the server's relentless attempts to upsell us on coffee. After multiple, polite refusals, we finally had to tell him to stop talking and just cook our food. It was an incredibly pushy and off-putting interaction. When the food finally arrived, it was a profound letdown. The flavors were non-existent across all the dishes. Honestly, the most flavorful thing on the plate was the side of cucumber. When cucumber is the star of a Malaysian dish, something has gone terribly wrong. The fried tofu was particularly offensiveβ
